in one chart showing the lineage to the present day.
Whether chosen by a boy's committee, the Captain of Games, the Housemaster or on the whim of the Housemaster's wife, all the colours in their gaudy beauty can be seen, including 39 that have been used and discarded.
The chart is updated constantly to reflect any change of Housemaster.

Current House Colours Chart
The current House colours as they stand, and the houses they represent without the Housemaster's initials.
Purists need not worry, Housemaster's initials are not being phased out, but gone are the days when Housemasters changed buildings, the colours are fixed to the buildings they now occupy.

Discontinued House Colours Chart
Since 1862, 39 House colours have been used and then discarded.
Here, represented by house caps, with the dates below indicating when they were in use, it's a fascinating insight into the whims, fashion sense and in some cases colour blindness of the creators of house colours. Intriguingly the white cap with the cross on the top used between 1862-65 by Wayte's house is unknown and long lost apart from the design. If there is anyone out there who knows of this colour please get in touch with the author.
